Our Why

The Village was created by two therapists who are also mothers.

We felt the shift firsthand — the profound identity change, the emotional intensity, the quiet unraveling that can happen in pregnancy and postpartum. And as we began working more deeply in perinatal mental health, we saw the same truth reflected back to us again and again: mothers were struggling, and the support systems around them were not enough.

Weekly individual therapy often wasn’t sufficient. Inpatient care felt too extreme. What was missing was a middle ground — a place of depth, continuity, and community.

Mothers didn’t just need clinicians.
They needed other mothers.
They needed to be seen, mirrored, and held in shared experience.

The Village was born from this gap — a holistic, perinatal Intensive Outpatient Program designed to offer more than symptom management. We created a space where evidence-based therapy meets embodied care, where healing happens in relationship, and where no one has to navigate this transition alone.

Because motherhood changes everything.
And support should change with it.
